Who You Are:

Reporting to the Commercial and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for generating media owners and affiliate leads to utilise Recast’s monetisation solution. 

Your work will involve research to identify targets for outreach to sell the benefits of Recast. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to approach media owners  and content creators across a range of sectors and open doors to key decision makers to secure meetings for the Commercial and Marketing Director and CEO. You will be entrepreneurial minded to support moving conversations from lead to close. 

You will be a driven individual who is relentless in your pursuit of delivering success. You will be an organised communicator, with excellent people skills who thinks on your feet and adapts to any given situation. 

The successful candidate will need to be prepared for a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking ownership of your work, building good relationships across the business. You’re organised and efficient. We’re a small team so it’s imperative that you have a ‘roll your sleeves up’ attitude.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop partner target lists across pre agreed sectors i.e. News publishers, YouTubers, Podcasters, Subscription titles and Affiliates 
  • With the support of the Senior Marketing Manager and Commercial and Marketing Director create and test outreach strategies measuring the success of different approaches 
  • Secure and set up meetings with media owners for the Commercial and Marketing Director and CEO to close the business 
  • Prepare meeting briefs including relevant business information, key contact background and current approach to monetisation ahead of sales meetings
  • Support the Commercial and Marketing Director and CEO with sales meeting follow ups including personalised sales materials and revenue projections using the Recast commercial model 
  • Ensure Recast’s CRM is kept up to date at all stages of the sales process 
  • Communicate product feedback from prospective partners with Product and Engineering colleagues 
  • Develop an understanding of the Recast functionalities, capabilities and product roadmap and how these relate to commercial discussions 

Key Skills: 

  • Comfortable, in fact thrives, in making cold approaches
  • Persuasive and personable 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Powerpoint and Excel
  • Experience of managing projects with the ability to prioritise and deliver results 
  • Excellent networking skills and the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • An entrepreneurial and creative mindset who’s good at thinking on their feet 
  • Good analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills further 

It’s a plus if you have: 

  • Sales knowledge and experience
  • Experience in the media, content creation, or entertainment industry 
  • Experience of using Hubspot 

Job Details

  • We are a remote first company, based in Edinburgh. We work remotely with opportunities for the team to get together on an ad-hoc basis, weekly/monthly.
